Main/Specific Responsibilities:
Work closely with the Head of Business Development and Communication to track and monitor funding opportunities and position AASL to secure such funding.
Assess funding trends and donor landscape in the country; and advise on potentials for partnership opportunities.
Actively participate in the annual planning and budgeting process.
Regularly update the Contract Management Systems (CMS), to keep the ActionAid Global Secretariat (GS) updated on in country fundraising status.
Make conscious efforts to maintain donor compliance including reporting timelines.
Lead the Participatory and Accountability Team (PAT) meetings to review project implementation and progress. Mobilise partner organizations, stakeholders, and communities as per the project MOUs and contracts to fulfil the objectives of the project.
Work with the Programme and Finance Teams to ensure quality and timely donor reporting.
Liaise with the Communications Officer to promote compliance regarding communications and visibility.
Support and participate in ideation processes, concept notes and full proposals development.
Work with other colleagues to explore opportunities for continuation of existing projects.
Support the development of documentations highlighting the challenges and lessons learned from projects and disseminating widely to position AASL as a learning organisation.
Attend donor meetings and take notes for follow ups.
Person Specifications:
Must have bachelor’s degree in social sciences or its equivalent from a recognized University.
Must have knowledge and experience in donor cultivation and relationship building; proposal development, project management, monitoring and evaluation, & report writing.
Knowledge and experience in institutional and non-institutional fundraising and lobbying skills (added advantage)
Must be able to use Microsoft Office applications efficiently.
